This little drone piece was inspired by a passage in F.W.J Schelling, where he describes the origin of things as occurring through an initial, yearning-induced, division between god and himself from which the distinction between god and nature grew. I took this as legitimation to make a piece where two initially identical banks of 24 sine waves each gradually move away from unison, and the beats and interference this produces make the "music." I built the piece in pd and drew the cover with markers.
